SUPP Bintulu general meeting, election scheduled for Nov 3

BINTULU (Oct 11): The Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) Bintulu branch will hold its general meeting and election for the 2025-2027 term on Nov 3, its chairman Johnny Pang announced.

Taking place at Kemena Plaza Hotel, he said this is in line with the party’s constitution and the instructions of the Central Working Committee (CWC).

“The branch will have their meeting from 10am to 12pm, followed by their election from 1pm to 3pm, at the Phoenix Ballroom on Level 8 of the hotel.

“The Youth Section will have their meeting and election from 8.30am to 10.30am at Niah Hall on Level 1, while the Women Section will have theirs from 8.30am to 10.30am at Kapit Hall on Level 1,” said Pang, who is Tanjong Batu assemblyman.

Additionally, he said nomination forms can be collected on Oct 25 and 26 from 9am to 4pm at the branch office, which is located at No. 65, Level 1, Bintulu Sentral Commercial Centre.

Nominations will be accepted on Oct 27, from 10am to 5pm, at the same location. Candidates must have been party members for at least six months (by April 30, 2024).

“The membership list provided by the Central Committee’s Organisational Department will serve as the official reference and will be available for verification at the branch office until Oct 26,” added Pang.

“We sincerely call on comrades who are willing to serve the party and the people to submit their nominations. We also welcome all branch members to attend the meeting dressed in the party uniform to contribute to the party’s development,” he said.
