MIRI (Sept 13): The Sarawak United Peoples’ Party (SUPP) N73 Piasau Service Centre is opening several Kenyalang Gold Card (KGC) registration booths, offering immediate collection of the cards upon approval.
Running from tomorrow until Sunday at various locations here, the programme is meant for Sarawakians aged 60 and above, who as the KGC holders, can enjoy discounts and rebates on essential items and services at establishments that have become KGC partners.
Tomorrow’s KGC registration booths will be at the Senior Citizen Street, Persiaran Kabor open from 8am to noon; and also on the ground floor of Imperial Mall, open from 4pm to 9pm.
Those wishing to apply are required to bring copies of their identification cards and those of their next-of-kin.
Every booth will be facilitated by officers from the Welfare Department Sarawak, and will also conduct briefings on Senior Citizen Health Benefits (SCHB).
SCHB is a Sarawak government initiative that offers cashless outpatient treatment at registered panel clinics with an annual coverage limit of RM500 per recipient.
To check for eligibility, senior citizens are encouraged to take advantage of the mobile service, ensuring that they receive the benefits and assistance available to them.
