‘Towards Healthy Seniors’ event at Tanah Puteh Health Clinic on Sept 28

KUCHING (Sept 10): The Advisory Panel of Tanah Puteh Health Clinic will hold a ‘Towards Healthy Seniors’ programme at the clinic here on Sept 28 from 7am to 1pm.

A press release by the organisers said the programme’s activities include health screening, tuberculosis screening, dental check-up and human papillomavirus (HPV)/Pap smear screening.

“There will also be a ‘Know Your Medicine’ and non-communicable disease/ occupational therapy booth exhibition, geriatric nutrition talk, and health talk.

“Senior citizens also have the opportunity to participate in ‘Fa Jia’ exercises and sports. Registration starts at 7am and is free,” said the organisers.

The opening ceremony at 9am will be officiated by Kuching South mayor Dato Wee Hong Seng and Kuching Divisional Health Officer Dr Johnny Pangkas.

All residents in the area are invited to attend to enliven the day.
