SELANGAU, Dec 17: A truck driver was killed early this morning when his tanker truck carrying palm oil collided with a flyover pillar at Simpang Mukah.

The accident occurred at approximately 12.59am, prompting an immediate response from Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Selangau, with assistance from Bomba Sibujaya.

Upon arrival at the scene, rescue personnel found the driver trapped in the vehicle, with his legs pinned.

Using RTA Rescue Tools and a stretcher, the team extricated him and handed him over to the Ministry of Health (MOH).

Unfortunately, he was confirmed dead at the scene.— DayakDaily
