Two-day health carnival held at Uma Sekapan Panjang in Belaga

BINTULU (Oct 9): The Belaga Health Carnival 2024 was held at Uma Sekapan Panjang, Belaga recently.

The two-day programme themed ‘My Health My Right’ offered a range of activities aimed at promoting health and wellness.

“Various health screenings, including NHSI (National Health Screening Initiative), Peka B40 (free health screening for B40), women’s health screening (HPV and Pap Smear), and tuberculosis screenings, were conducted.

“The event also featured a community gotong-royong activity, a 10,000-step walk for health, aerobics sessions, health talks, as well as talks by the Fire and Rescue Department and Civil Defence Force,” said the Bintulu Divisional Health Office.

Additionally, there were health exhibitions by various agencies, karaoke competition, and children’s traditional costume contest.

The programme was organised by the Belaga Health Clinic in collaboration with the Belaga Health Clinic Panel, Lusong Laku Health Clinic Advisory Panel, and Punan Bah Health Clinic Advisory Panel.
