Two sworn in as new SRDC councillors

SIBU (Nov 1): The Sibu Rural District Council (SRDC) recently held an oath-taking ceremony for two new councillors.

They are former kapitan Wong Hua from the Progressive Democratic Party and Stanley Guida Jabat from Parti Rakyat Sarawak.

Wong, who is also PDP Bawang Assan chairman, replaced Joshua Ting, who resigned after being appointed a political secretary to the Premier.

Stanley took over from Fidel Jack, who stepped down for personal reasons.

SRDC deputy chairman Wong Ching Yong witnessed the oath-taking ceremony.

In a Facebook post, Ching Yong congratulated both new councillors and wished them success in their roles.

Also present during the ceremony was SRDC secretary Ng Siang Wei.
