KUCHING (Aug 16): Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar and wife Toh Puan Fauziah Mohd Sanusi received a courtesy call from Dewan Negara president Senator Dato Awang Bemee Awang Ali Basah today.
According to Awang Bemee, it was his first official visit to the Sarawak Governor and his wife since his appointment as the Senate president on July 22.
“TYT is a former speaker of the Dewan Rakyat, so this visit is very timely for us to seek advice from him, who has vast experiences as an elected representative, federal cabinet member and Speaker of the Dewan Rakyat,” he said when met by reporters after the visit.
