KUCHING: Max Verstappen has finally won the Singapore Grand Prix, finishing 7.8 seconds ahead of Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc, while Mercedes’ Kimi Antonelli took third.
The Marina Bay circuit had long been one of Verstappen’s unfinished chapters in Formula One. But there was little doubt this time as the Red Bull driver led the field home with a sizeable gap.
And what a weekend it has been. On Saturday (Oct 10), he won Singapore’s first-ever F1 Sprint before taking pole position for Sunday’s Grand Prix.
Two races, two victories and a Singapore GP title that had escaped him for years.
That missing piece is finally his.
