Visitors to the Wireless Walk Miri make their selections among various pre-loved Hari Raya clothing.
MIRI (March 3): Persatuan Peniaga Wireless Walk Miri has taken the initiative to assist underprivileged families by organising the distribution of pre-loved Hari Raya clothing.
The programme, which kicked off last Sunday, offers visitors to the traders’ strip selections of donated ‘baju kurung’ and ‘baju Melayu’ – all for free.
It is still running at the Kios Pot Santai Santai, the Drinks Lot 10, Zone C of Wireless Walk, while stocks last.
“This initiative is the traders’ commitment to supporting the community, specially for this fasting month when the spirit of giving is most meaningful.
“We sincerely appreciate members of the public who contribute the pre-loved Raya clothes.
“We hope all donors would be blessed with continued prosperity and good health for kindly sharing the attire with those in need,” said the association’s chairman Mohamad Abdullah Jamin.
He also said the distribution would continue until all the donated clothing had been handed out to those in need.
