KUCHING: AvantHealth has unveiled its latest initiative, AvantMind Matters, a campaign focused on promoting brain health and dementia prevention among individuals aged 35 and above.
According to its general manager Dr Sherlyn Lim on Wednesday (Oct 9) the campaign aims to raise awareness about cognitive health, reduce dementia risk, and foster discussions on mental well-being.
“AvantMind Matters is a call to action for individuals to take brain health seriously.
“With the support of the AvantHealth Loyalty Programme, members can access free screenings that may provide valuable insights into their cognitive health.
“The Digital Brain Function Screen, developed by Neurowyzer, is a simple test to monitor cognitive performance over time and provides a report with recommendations of proactive lifestyle measures for optimal brain health,” she said.
As part of the initiative, AvantHealth introduced the AvantHealth Loyalty Programme, offering members a complimentary Digital Brain Function Screening, valued at RM150. This screening will be available at partner pharmacies and clinics, helping individuals monitor their cognitive health early.
The launch event, held at Imperial Hotel Kuching, was led by COO of Sarawak Oil Palms Group (SOP), Eric Kiu and featured insights from medical experts such as Dr. Ling Jia Nee and Professor Yuen Kah Hay.
Attended by medical professionals and the public, the event highlighted the importance of early intervention and lifestyle changes in preserving cognitive function.
The year-round campaign will include health talks, webinars, and interactive content designed to encourage a proactive approach to brain health.
