Yu Cai Foundation opens applications for 2024 Form 6 sponsorship

KUCHING: The Yu Cai Foundation (YCF) has announced the opening of applications for its 2024 Form 6 sponsorship programme.

The application period for the sponsorships starts from Aug 1 to 31, 2024, eligible Form 6 students currently enrolled in their first semester can apply for financial assistance up to RM3000 and applicants must submit all physical documents by Sept 7, to complete their application process.

“To be eligible, applicants must be Malaysian citizens who have completed their SPM and are currently enrolled in the first semester of Form 6. Their combined monthly household income should not exceed RM6,250.

“Additionally, applicants need to have achieved at least a Grade C in Bahasa Melayu and a pass in Sejarah in SPM, and must have obtained a minimum of 5As (including A+, A, A-). Once awarded, the scholarship recipients must maintain a minimum CGPA of 2.50 each semester throughout their Form 6 studies.

“During the sponsorship period, they cannot hold any other scholarship, sponsorship, or study loan. Only one family member is allowed to receive the sponsorship in the same year, unless exceptions are made,” it said in a press release issued today.

Immediate family members of YCF board of trustees, awards committee members, and corporate secretaries/treasurers are ineligible.

Applicants need to visit the official YCF website at [www.ycf.org.my](https://www.ycf.org.my/). Under the “Programme” tab, they should select the Form 6 Sponsorship Form 2024 and complete the application accurately.

All certified true copies (CTC) of required documents must be uploaded online, and the physical documents must be submitted by courier or hand to the YCF office by Sept 7, to finalise the application.
