Azam announces 2024-2026 exco, reappoints William Nyigor as chief

KUCHING (July 14): Datu Patrick William Nyigor has been re-appointed as chairman of Angkatan Zaman Mansang (Azam) for the 2024-2026 term.

He would be assisted by newly-elected deputy chairman Ariff Irwani Azahari, said the organisation in a press statement, released following its 41st annual general meeting (AGM) held here yesterday.

“Assoc Prof Dr Margaret Chan and Dato William Wei are the newly-elected honorary secretary and honorary treasurer, respectively,” it said.

“The new board members are Sharkawi Yassin, Norjannah Razali, Khairool Adzelan, Alice Wee, Charles Siaw, Fairul Azli Banchit and Ahmad Zaiwin Mohd Kassim.”

Azam also hailed its 41st AGM as ‘marking another significant milestone’ in its long-standing commitment of facilitating development efforts in Sarawak through strategic communications.

“The newly-elected board members are expected to bring fresh perspectives and renewed energy to further Azam’s goals and objectives,” it said.
