KUCHING (Oct 18): The Madani Unity Government has allocated RM12.6 billion for Sabah and Sarawak under the 2025 Budget.
Sabah is allocated RM6.7 billion whereas Sarawak RM5.9 billion.
When tabling the national budget in Parliament today, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said the allocations are the highest among the states in Malaysia.
“The Madani government has fulfilled the promises of past leaders pursuant to the Malaysia Agreement of 1963 (MA63).
“There should not be any doubt that Sabah and Satawak have been given special attention,” he said.
He said the development gap among the states has to be narrowed, particularly on infrastructural development involving roads, electricity supply, and treated water supply.
