“This is the concept we have for the Miri Airport Extension Project. I have discussed it with the team because nowadays we need to cater to all e-hailing vehicles.

“With more passengers using e-hailing services, proper facilities are a must,” he told reporters after visiting Kuching International Airport (KIA) here today to observe AirBorneo’s operations, including check-in counters, flight arrivals and luggage handling.

He said the e-hailing waiting and queuing areas would be upgraded to enhance passenger convenience.

“For the Miri Airport Extension Project, we will have an electronic display to show when an e-hailing car is arriving.

“The number will appear on the screen, so passengers will know. These are among the improvements we are making,” he said.

Lee emphasised that the project is designed to meet modern travellers’ expectations and keep pace with current travel trends. — DayakDaily
