KUCHING, July 21: “Kalau tak siap, siap kau (If the project is not completed, you contractors are done),” says Deputy Prime Minister Dato Sri Fadillah Yusof.

According to him, contractors involved must implement the projects according to the schedule, specification, standard and budget allocated.

“If I always go to the ground, it means that the project is problematic. They must be cautious when implementing the project,” he told a press conference after the ground-breaking ceremony for PLSB Sarawak River (Package 3) held at SK Tan Sri Datuk Haji Mohamed Hall in Matang today.

Fadillah also advised contractors to meet with the local community leaders and village security and development committees (JKKKs) to ensure that project implementation goes smoothly.

“They must ensure that all problems are reduce to a minimum by engaging with the relevant parties involved,” he added.
