SIBU (July 13): Lions Club District 308-A2 Foundation recently handed over RM3,000 worth of daily necessities to the fire victims of Lane 9, Kampung Bahagia, Jalan Teku.
The victims received various items including hardware, food items and financial aids.
Also joining in the effort to provide the daily necessities to the victims were members of Lions Clubs from Region 2 and 3 together with Lions Clubs of Sibu Host, Sibu Mandarin, Sibu Central, Sibu Pahlawan, Sibu Berjaya, Sibu City, Sibu Jaya, Sibu Sungai Merah, Sibu Bawang Assan, Sibu Nangka, Sibu Queensway, Sibu Lanang, Sibu Dudong, Sibu Rejang, Sibu Loving Care and Bintangor.
The July 10 fire incident left one dead, and 26 others rendered homeless.
