Man dead, woman injured in Jalan Lachau accident in Sri Aman

KUCHING, May 30: A 22-year-old man was killed while a 23-year-old woman was injured in an accident that occurred at Jalan Lachau in Sri Aman today.

According to a report from the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), a call was received at 8.39am, and firefighters from Sri Aman were deployed.

It was noted that the accident involved a single vehicle—a Perodua Bezza, which the male victim, Flecther Kleberson Pandi, was driving.

The male victim was trapped inside the vehicle, prompting firefighters to extricate him. However, he was pronounced dead by personnel from the Health Ministry (MOH) and later handed over to the police for further action.

The female victim was assisted out of the vehicle by members of the public before firefighters arrived and was later transported by ambulance for medical treatment. — DayakDaily
