KUCHING, July 14: Police are on the hunt for three individuals believed to have been involved in a shooting incident at Mile 19 of Jalan Kuching-Serian on July 8.

Padawan district police chief Supt Mohd Irwan Hafiz Md Radzi, in a statement last night (July 13), said the three individuals are identified as Thian Fatt Kui, 42, Ricky Nelson Ungking, 34, and Pang Siong Seng, 30.

“The Crime Investigation Division of the Padawan District Police Headquarters are actively tracking the three individuals to complete the investigation on the shooting incident that occurred on July 8.

“The case is being investigated under Section 307 of the Penal Code and Section 8 of Firearms (Increased Penalties) Act 1971,” Irwan said.

He also urged members of the public who have information on the three individuals to directly call Padawan Crime Investigation Division head ASP Sylvarius Gopog at 013-8637241.

On July 8, the police received a report at 1.57am from a 26-year-old local man informing that three of his friends were shot in an incident that occurred behind a supermarket at Mile 19 of Jalan Kuching-Serian.

The investigation found that all three victims, aged 24 to 25, sustained gunshot wounds on the body.

They were last reported receiving treatment at the Sarawak General Hospital and are in stable condition. — DayakDaily
