BINTULU: Maxim E-Hailing is continuing to make a difference in society by contributing to the local events.
This was showcased by its participation in a month-long campaign in Bintulu in conjunction with the Gawai celebration.
The company took part in three highly esteemed cultural programmes, which allowed it to demonstrate social responsibility and concern for the preservation of cultural heritage, and taking part in such cultural events is a symbolic gesture that endorses a good image of the company.
“The first event was the Gawai Dayak Open House 2024, and at the event, the Maxim team from Bintulu provided financial support for the beauty pageant called “Kumang Gawai”.
“It is a Gawai Dayak tradition to have a pageant queen every year during the celebration of Gawai, with more than 200 women competing to get into the top three. Maxim was blessed to be one of the contributors and supporters of the event.
“The second event was a cultural ceremony called “Ngiling Bidai Gawai Dayak” — focused on local celebrations of Gawai along with music festivals, competitions, food, and performances. Maxim Bintulu also provided essential support to the organiser to ensure that everything would go smoothly,” Maxim said in a press release.
It added that it was wonderful to see the Iban community across the state and participants from Malaya, and tourists that visited the events, provided an outstanding opportunity for the company to show its support for local events and connect with a diverse group of attendees.
“The third event was Bintulu Youth Exhibition 2.0 and the programme aims to spread awareness about the importance of having a good economy and financial growth.
Maxim provided job opportunities to visitors who were interested in joining it and making money as partner-drivers.
“New E-hailing drivers help reduce unemployment, becoming one also improves the standard of living for people who are looking for work-life balance and part-time jobs,” it added.
