“Gawai has always been a special time for my family and me—a time to pause, give thanks, and celebrate the blessings of family, togetherness, and tradition.

“Beyond the festivities, Gawai brings families home and loved ones closer. It reminds us of the bonds that keep us grounded, the values passed down through generations, and the importance of cherishing the people who matter most,” he said in a Facebook post today.

He also said that amid daily duties and responsibilities, moments like these are meaningful, as it is a reminder that family is a source of strength, comfort, and purpose.

“May the spirit of Gawai continue to strengthen family ties, unite our communities, and bring peace, happiness, and well-being to all.

“From my family to yours, we wish you Selamat Ari Gawai. Gayu Guru Gerai Nyamai, Lantang Senang Nguan Menoa.” — DayakDaily
