KUCHING (Oct 17): MSC Trustgate has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Sains Sarawak to strengthen the digital ecosystem in the state.
MSC Trustgate CEO Lo Nyan Tjing and Sains CEO Busiai Seman signed the MoU during the International Digital Economy Conference Sarawak (Idecs) 2024 here today.
This collaboration aims to strengthen the digital ecosystem by promoting secure digital signatures, data protection, and enhanced cybersecurity services.
“Together, we aim to elevate digital trust and security in Sarawak’s digital economy, ensuring that businesses and government agencies can operate with confidence in a secure digital environment,” said Lo.
Busiai emphasised the partnership’s role in developing local talent.
“The key benefits of this partnership include building local talent in Certificate Authority solutions.
“This will provide more flexibility and options in the future,” he said.
Among those present at the signing were Sains chairman Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Dr George Chan Hong Nam, who represented Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg; MSC Trustgate chief technology officer Hazhar Ismail; and Sains chief technology officer Grant Than Shau Bui.
