Purr-fection: S’wak’s Puma Chin clinches historic Double National Winner title at int’l feline awards in Vietnam

KUCHING, May 30: Sarawakians have a reputation for shining on both national and international stages, across all sectors. This time, though, the star performer has four paws and a tail.

Meet HNWs Puma Chin, who made history by becoming the first household pet to achieve the Double National Winner (NWs) title, first in 2024 and later in the 2025 edition of the Feline Fanciers Federation (FFF) Annual Awards, which was recently held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

In a Facebook post, the FFF said that while East and West Malaysia have always produced household pets of outstanding quality, it was Puma Chin who stood out with his consistent top condition over two consecutive years.

“Once on the judging table, he confidently showcased himself with elegance and presence. His beautifully groomed long coat, heavy bone structure, and strong, muscular body left a lasting impression. His healthy coat, bright eyes, and well-set ears clearly reflected his excellent condition.

“Adding to his charm, Puma Chin delighted many judges with his playful and friendly nature.

“Congratulations to Puma Chin and owner Annie Chin on this remarkable achievement! A truly well-deserved honour,” it said. — DayakDaily
