KUCHING, Jan 26: A temporary road diversion will be implemented along Jalan Lapangan Terbang here for up to 12 months from Jan 26, 2026, until Dec 31, 2026, to facilitate viaduct pillars construction works.

Sarawak Metro Sdn Bhd (Sarawak Metro), in a public notification, said the diversion will affect the stretch opposite Curry House and will be in effect 24 hours daily throughout the construction period.

Motorists are advised to exercise caution when travelling through the affected area and to comply with all traffic management control measures, including road warning signs and speed limits, to ensure the safety of road users and construction workers.

Sarawak Metro said it will inform the public should there be any changes to the traffic arrangement and urged road users to plan their journeys accordingly.
