Sarawak Marvellous Food Fest 2024 to kick off in Kota Samarahan this September

KOTA SAMARAHAN (July 12): The Sarawak Marvellous Food Festival (MFF) 2024, set to take place at Aiman Mall here this Sept 12-16, will bring together food vendors from many parts across Malaysia.

According to event’s organising chairperson Yatt Rafael, the event will serve as a platform for food entrepreneurs from Sarawak and Peninsular Malaysia to showcase their specialties, as well as to empower these small businesses and help boost their income.

“The tour will start in Kota Samarahan and then proceed to Serian, Sri Aman, Kuching, Miri, Marudi, Bintulu, Mukah and Sibu, before going to Sri Aman, Serian, Samarahan and Kuching.

“We will hold the festival at each location for five days, so we expect to end this tour by the end of this year.

“The festival will feature popular artistes and bands such as Harry Khalifah, Chombi, Shidi Data, Ukays, Kristal, with renowned comedian Yassin Senario as the guest emcee, joined by famous Sarawak influencer Lan Perey,” she said during a press conference here today.

Several artistes and social media influencers such as Aida Aris, Shajiry, Nur Nilam Ortiz, Azlan Komeng, and Shafiq Nizam would also be present at the carnival’s locations, she added.

“With this line-up, we expect to welcome 50,000 visitors at each location,” she projected.

According to Yatt, visitors attending the carnival at Kota Samarahan stand a chance to win a Perodua Myvi car as the grand prize of a lucky draw.

“Visitors can join the lucky draw by making RM20 worth of purchase at any participating booths during the festival.”
