LUNDU: Opar assemblyman Billy Sujang has called on SPM and STPM school leavers to seize the opportunity to enrol in relevant courses at the Centre of Technical Excellence Sarawak (CENTEXS).
He said the intake will be conducted in October this year, with CENTEXS offering 18 courses free of charge, funded by the Sarawak government.
“This will provide opportunities for youth and SPM and STPM school leavers to learn vocational and technical skills, subsequently positioning themselves in the job market.
“Education is the most significant change agent to transform the lifestyle and economic capability of a family,” he said.
The evening featured various activities, including ethnic dance performances, a lucky draw, and the Kumang and Keling Gawai CENTEXS Lundu competition.
During the event, he also provided a special Lucky Draw prize of RM300.00 to a lucky winner.
Also present were the Head of CENTEXS Lundu Campus, Dr Nor Ashikin Abdul Rahman, and Lundu District Officer, Awang Yusup Awang Mustopha.
