KOTA SAMARAHAN: SMK Sri Samarahan will open its doors to students this month, expanding access to secondary education for the growing community here while providing a more comfortable and conducive learning environment.

Deputy Minister of Rural and Regional Development and Kota Samarahan Member of Parliament, Datuk Rubiah Wang said the development of educational facilities in the area was encouraging and reflected ongoing efforts to provide better infrastructure for the younger generation.
“I am very pleased to see the development of educational facilities in Kota Samarahan being continuously strengthened to provide a more comfortable, conducive and safe learning environment for our children,” she said.

She said this during a visit to SMK Sri Samarahan to inspect preparations ahead of the school beginning to admit students today.

Rubiah said the opening of the school would benefit the local community, particularly by providing students in the area with better access to secondary education.

She said quality educational facilities were important in creating a learning environment that could support students’ academic development, character building and potential.

The new school would also help provide a more suitable and conducive environment for students as educational needs in Kota Samarahan continued to grow.

“Hopefully, SMK Sri Samarahan will become an educational institution that benefits the local community and produces a knowledgeable and competitive younger generation with a bright future,” she said.

Rubiah also extended her welcome to the students who would begin their schooling at the institution and expressed hope that they would make full use of the facilities provided.

She said the continued development of educational infrastructure was important in ensuring local students had access to quality learning opportunities close to their communities.
