BINTULU: Over 300 residents of Jepak constituency, including community leaders, NGO members, and PBB Jepak branch members, participated in the recent Aspirasi Sarawakku Sayang Programme held at Maktab Rendah Sains MARA (MRSM) Bintulu.

The programme provided a platform for them to directly engage with speakers on issues close to their hearts, including electricity, water supply, communication, and infrastructure.

Residents gained valuable insights on how to address these concerns and where to report problems for prompt action by the relevant authorities.

Jepak assemblyman Iskandar Turkee said the programme was effective in facilitating direct communication between residents and government agencies.

“This is the advantage of these political sector programmes.

“Information can be conveyed directly, and problems can be addressed immediately,” he said.

Iskandar praised the open and transparent approach of department heads who attended the event.

“We see that department heads are very open and transparent regarding development in the Jepak area.

“This is what we want—both parties working together harmoniously,” he added.

Also present was political secretary to the Premier, Abdul Samat Gany.
