Sukma XXI: ‘Best birthday present ever’ for Sarawak sailing gold medalist

MIRI (Aug 23): Sarawak’s gold medalist in the Men’s International 420 sailing event Syahzharoul Aiman Rozaiman described the win as his “best birthday present ever” as he turned 21 today

“I am so happy to be able to win the gold medal with my partner Muhammad Amirul Aqmal Aslan. I am grateful for this win,” he said.

Syahzharoul said that this was his first time competing in the Malaysia Games (Sukma) for Sarawak.

“Although I am happy with the win, it also means that this is my last Sukma,” he said, adding that this would also be Muhammad Amirul’s last Sukma as he is also 21-years-old.

The silver medal in the category was won by Terengganu while Sabah took the bronze medal.
