KUCHING (Aug 22): Sarawak swimmer Kelly Teo Yao continued her impressive run at the Malaysia Games (Sukma) XXI, clinching her fifth gold medal in the 400m Freestyle event.
The Sarawakian swimmer dominated the race, clocking in at 4:31.85.
She outpaced Selangor’s Khew Zi Xian, who secured the silver with a time of 4:34.26.
The bronze medal went to Sabah’s Chu Xin Ying, who finished with a time of 4:38.05.
In addition to her individual success, Kelly teamed up with Chereen Ngo Yirui, Magdalene Ing Siew Lau, and Shanise Jauwa Joseline Adong in the 4x200m freestyle relay.
They put up a strong performance to win silver, clocking 8:52.19.
