Sukma XXI: Sabah vs Selangor women’s football final postponed due to heavy rain

KUCHING (Aug 22): The women’s football final between Sabah and Selangor at the Sarawak Stadium has been postponed due to heavy rain that left the pitch waterlogged.

The gold medal match will be postponed to Friday at the same venue starting at 4.15pm, according to an announcement in the 21st Malaysia Games (Sukma) official website.

The much anticipated match was originally scheduled to start at 8.15pm but heavy rain since evening caused the pitch at the stadium to become unplayable.

The kick off was rescheduled to 8.45pm and then delayed for another half-an-hour but with the condition not getting any better, both teams agreed to postpone the match on the advice from match officials.
