Sukma XXI: Sarawak shuttler Wong Ling Ching advances into women’s single finals

SIBU (Aug 23): Sarawak’s badminton women’s singles player Wong Ling Ching marched into the finals after defeating Selangor’s Siti Nurshuhaini Azman at the Sibu Indoor Stadium.

This is the first time in about 30 years of the Malaysia Games (Sukma) Sarawak has ever advanced into the finals in singles’ badminton event.

Wong won the first and second sets with 21-18 and 21-8.
