KUCHING: Sarawak based telecommunications infrastructure company, Demanlink Connexion Sdn Bhd, begins its operations in the state today.

Announcing this, its chief executive officer Hanad Yusuf said the company aims to provide reliable and scalable digital infrastructure that connects communities, empowers businesses, and supports economic growth.

“We are looking forward to playing our part in achieving the government’s goal of 7,000 towers by 2030.

“Significant progress has been made, with approximately 4,500 towers reported in May this year, and we believe we are the right player to help close the 2,500 towers gap in Sarawak.

“We strongly believe that access to high-quality digital infrastructure will be the key enabler for any modern developed economy that aspires to achieve high-income status, and we are committed to playing our role in meeting Sarawak’s digital goals.”

Hanad said this during the official launch of Demanlink Connexion Sdn Bhd Kuching Office held at Borneo Convention Centre Kuching here yesterday.

Having said this, he also announced the partnership of Demanlink Connexion and EdgePoint Infrastructure, Integrated Access Communications.

“I am confident that this combined strong market knowledge as well as the regional expertise from our partners will contribute to our ability to accelerate our telecommunications infrastructure deployments in Sarawak.

“Together, we will not only help to expand connectivity across Sarawak, but also lay the foundations for long-term digital transformation that will empower communities and drive economic growth in the state.”

Meanwhile, commenting on the partnership, EdgePoint Infrastructure Sdn Bhd chief executive officer Suresh Sidhu expressed his excitement investing in Sarawak.

“In partnership with Demanlink we are eager to put in place robust digital infrastructure, bring in regional talent and skills whilst developing local talent and expertise, as well as be a catalyst for building up entrepreneurships and partnerships locally.

“We are confident that through the combined strength of experience and expertise, and the local insights on the ground, the best value will be delivered with world class telecommunication infrastructure solutions deployed effectively and efficiently,” he said.

The launch and signing of partnership was witnessed by Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg.
