Three long house doors in Ulu Tinjar destroyed in a fire

MIRI, Oct. 11: Three doors of long houses in Rh Wani, Lansat River Road, Ulu Tinjar were completely destroyed in a fire this morning.

According to the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Service (JBPM) Sarawak's Operations Movement Centre (PGO), firefighters received an emergency call at 8.20 am before the machine arrived on site at 11.05 am, after traveling about 135 kilometres.

"The fire involved three doors of the house, which is door No. Four, no. 5 and No. 6, in a block of unstable long structures measuring about 54 x 100 square feet.

"The incident affected three families with a total of 25 inhabitants, with the first family consisting of five people, while the second and third families each had 10 people", the statement said.

However, no casualties were reported in the incident.

The blackout operation was carried out by members of the Lopeng Fire and Rescue Hall (BBP) with the help of BBP Batu Niah, using two water streams from the BBP Batu Niah engine pump tank as well as an auxiliary channel flow starting from the Lopeng BBP machine.

After the fire was brought under control at 11:20 a.m., the fire department conducted overhaul work to ensure no coal or source of fire could trigger the fire again.

The operation was fully terminated at 12:14 p.m.

A total of 11 bombers were involved in operations involving the power of two FRT-type pump engines and a D-Max.-TVS vehicle.
