TYT on two-day trip to Brunei

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: Sarawak Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Dr Haji Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar arrived here for a two-day working visit to Brunei Darussalam

The visit was in conjunction with the 78th birthday celebration of Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam.

Wan Junaidi and his wife, Toh Puan Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, arrived at the Brunei International Airport on a special flight from Kuching at 5 pm yesterday.

Accompanying them in the delegation were Deputy Premier of Sarawak Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan, and his wife, Datuk Dayang Morliah Datuk Awang Daud.

Last night, Wan Junaidi and Fauziah attended a dinner with the Sarawak delegation at Tarindak D’Polo Restaurant in Jerudong here.

The event was also attended by Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg, and his wife, Puan Sri Datuk Amar Juma’ani Tun Tuanku Bujang.

Also present at the dinner were Sarawak Minister of Utility and Telecommunication Datuk Seri Julaihi Narawi, Awang Tengah and Malaysian High Commissioner to Brunei Nur Ezira Mahadi.

Meanwhile, Wan Junaidi is scheduled to attend the investiture of Brunei Darussalam State Decorations ceremony at the Balai Singgahsana Indera Buana in Istana Nurul Iman this morning.

He will also have an audience with Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah later today at 2 pm.
