Woman found dead in car parked behind Miri hotel, man unconscious

MIRI (Aug 22): A man and a woman were found unconscious in a car parked behind a hotel at Pelita commercial centre earlier today.

Medical personnel from Miri Hospital pronounced the 22-year-old woman dead at the scene.

The man, who was still breathing when found, was rushed to the hospital for treatment.

Police at the scene cordoned the area off and were seen examining the small hatchback car for evidence.

When contacted, Miri police chief ACP Alexson Naga Chabu told The Borneo Post that he had yet to receive the incident report.

“I will issue a statement later on once I have received the report,” he said.
