13 needy families receive aid to repair homes

SIBU: Deputy Speaker of the Dewan Rakyat Alice Lau recently provided assistance to 13 families here.

According to a statement by the Democratic Action Party (DAP) Lanang Service Centre today (July 19), the aid was given to 11 families from Kampung Sentosa and another two families from Salim Belalang.

“These impoverished families sought help from Lau’s service centre to repair their homes.

“After inspection and review by the service team, construction materials were distributed to the beneficiary families,” said the statement.

Among the materials provided were roofing sheets, cement, wooden materials, and iron pipes.

Lau, who is also the Lanang MP, hopes that with the assistance, the families will have a safe place to live.
