KUCHING, July 30: A total of 186 police retirees received the Pingat Jasa Pahlawan Negara (PJPN), during its Third Serie 2024 award today.

According to a TVS news report, Sarawak Police Commissioner, Dato Mancha Ata, presented the medals in a ceremony at Dewan Pahlawan, General Operation Forces (PGA) Brigade Headquarters in Batu Kawah.

The third series of the PJPN award ceremony in 2024 was done as a special appreciation for retired members of the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) for their services and sacrifices for the country during the state of emergency and the communist insurgency between 1948 and 1990.

The first and second series of the PJPN award ceremony was held in March, with 374 recipients.

Also present was Sarawak Deputy Commissioner of Police, Datuk Ibrahim Darus. — DayakDaily
