Sabah CM arrives in Kuching for Malaysia Day celebration

KUCHING: Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor arrived in Kuching today (to attend the Malaysia Day 2026 celebration, which will be held here tonight.

Hajiji arrived at the VIP Terminal of Kuching International Airport (KIA) at 11.05am.

According to an UKAS report, he was received by Deputy Minister for Public Health, Housing and Local Government Datuk Dr Penguang Mangil.

His arrival in Sarawak reflects the continued commitment to strengthening unity and cooperation between the regions in conjunction with the Malaysia Day 2026 celebration.

The celebration is scheduled to take place at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK), bringing together leaders and guests from Sabah, Sarawak and Peninsular Malaysia.
