KUCHING (Aug 5): The British Council Malaysia has announced the expansion of its International English Language Testing System (IELTS) partnership network through new collaborations, continuing its commitment to delivering excellent service for IELTS test-takers with additional test venues and language academies.

This strategic collaboration aims to enhance the accessibility and quality of IELTS testing across Malaysia, said the British Council in a statement yesterday.

To mark these exciting developments, the British Council Malaysia recently hosted the IELTS Partner Gathering event in June this year.

The event welcomed more than 20 IELTS registration and testing venue partners of British Council IELTS from the Partner Reward programme.

“This gathering provided a platform to celebrate dedicated partners as well as a key opportunity for relationship-building and discussions on new developments.

“The role of institutional partners is instrumental in helping candidates achieve their lifetime ambitions and aiding a generation of young Malaysians in realising their potential,” it said.

The event also celebrated the opening of its new test venues in Johor Bahru at SIMH Ulu Tiram and Language Academy UTM Skudai, as well as in Bayan Lepas, Penang at Iverson Penang.

Additionally, it marked the beginning of two significant new collaborations with Yayasan Terengganu and Unied Smart Study Centre Sdn Bhd as the newest testing point partners.

“We are thrilled to honour our exceptional partners, whose contributions are vital to our success, and to announce the expansion of our network with new partnerships.

“This demonstrates our commitment to improving IELTS access throughout Malaysia,” said Regional Exams Manager of British Council IELTS in South East Asia Steve Adams, in the release.

In addition to these new partnerships, test takers in Malaysia who take their IELTS test on a computer can now receive their results within two days, a substantial reduction from the previous three-to-five-day timeframe.

This accelerated process, along with other preparation supports, demonstrates IELTS’ commitment to empowering candidates in their pursuit of international study, work, and immigration.

Since 1989, the British Council has offered a secure and professional IELTS test experience, drawing on 35 years of global expertise.

As this year marks the celebration of its 90th global anniversary, the future is met with enthusiasm.

The dedication to expanding IELTS access ensures that students across Malaysia will have even greater opportunities for IELTS testing.
