KUCHING (July 5): The Development Bank of Sarawak (DBOS) donated RM250,000 to the Sarawak Unifor Charitable Trust (SUCT) recently.
Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas, who is minister in charge of the Unit for Other Religions (Unifor), said DBOS is committed to fostering socio-religious harmony, preservation of inclusivity, and supporting underprivileged communities in Sarawak.
He said DBOS’ generous donation will be significant for the Trust to execute its programmes.
“It is our hope that DBOS will continue to support SUCT in its charitable commitment to the non-Muslim community in Sarawak,” Uggah said in a press release today.
This follows a courtesy call on Uggah here by Sarawak Unifor Charitable Trust chief executive officer John Kennedy Janang.
Joining the courtesy call was new Unifor director Datuk Georgina Apphia Ngau.
