KUCHING (July 18): A Mercedes Benz was left 70 per cent damaged after it caught fire while parked at Stutong Avenue, Jalan Setia Raja here in the wee hours today.
The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said firefighters from Tabuan Jaya fire station were deployed to the scene after receiving a call at around 12.46am.
“The firefighters extinguished the fire and overhaul works were carried out to ensure that there were no more sources of fire.
“No injuries or casualties were reported,” a spokesperson said in a statement.
Bomba wrapped up the operation at 2.33am.
It was unclear what sparked the car fire.
