MIRI (July 20): Junior Chamber International (JCI) Miri will be organising the second Borneo Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Summit at Curtin University from Aug 23-25.
According to organising chairman Choo Chin Wen, this year’s summit is significant in promoting educational equity in the region.
“This year’s summit aims to bring together a diverse group of stakeholders — including non-profit organisations, educational institutions, government sectors, community groups and the public — to foster collaboration, share knowledge and inspire action towards achieving educational equity and quality in Borneo,” he said in a statement.
Among the activities to be held throughout the three-day summit are interactive workshops, which are designed to develop practical solutions and innovative educational methods; panel discussions by experts on current educational challenges and opportunities; as well as an education fair.
In addition, there would also be art exhibitions centred around the theme of education and sustainable development.
“The organising committee invites all NGOs, policymakers and related parties to collaborate in this significant event,” he said.
