KUCHING: With just less than a month remaining until the Malaysia Games (Sukma), anticipation is building as venues throughout the region diligently finalise their preparations.

One venue that has particularly captured the attention of online users on Facebook is the Miri Outdoor Stadium as it prepares to host rugby matches.

The stadium’s newly adorned roof proudly displays Sarawak’s colours of red, black, and yellow, captivating Facebook users.

Photos taken by Facebook user “Victor Influencer” have gone viral, showcasing the stadium bathed in sunlight and highlighting its white walls, sturdy fencing, and seats painted in striking colours.

Fans on Facebook have enthusiastically praised the stadium’s fresh appearance, describing it as ‘steady’ and commending the incorporation of Sarawak’s vibrant colours.

The original post posted on the ‘Miri Community’ facebook page has garnered approximately 2,300 likes and over 300 shares, with other community pages also sharing the images.

The images have sparked anticipation among sports enthusiasts eagerly awaiting the rugby action scheduled from Aug 19 to 22.

The Sarawak Rugby Union also  shared the images on its official Facebook page, inviting the public to witness the Sarawak rugby team in action.
