MIRI (July 31): A 75-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a collision with a car at a traffic light intersection in front of Bintang Megamall here around 6am today.
It is learnt that both vehicles were both heading towards Pujut from city centre when the incident occurred.
At the traffic light intersection, the car and motorcycle collided, causing the motorcyclist to be thrown off his machine.
The car then skidded and veered into the opposite lane and crashed into another oncoming car.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead by paramedics from Miri Hospital at the scene, while the drivers of both cars were unhurt.
