KUCHING: The Junior Chamber International (JCI) Padawan has recently established its very own Secretariat aimed at encouraging more youth to join non-profit organisations to create positive impact for the communities.
Kota Sentosa assemblyman Wilfred Yap applauded JCI members for guiding the youth to become enterprising by turning challenges into opportunities.
“I thanked JCI Padawan for developing the leadership and entrepreneurial skills of young Sarawakians, empowering them to create positive change in their lives and contribute to community wellbeing.
“It aligns with the objective of the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) government for Sarawak to become a progressive and high income region by 2030,” he said during the opening ceremony of JCI Padawan Secretariat at its office here on Saturday (July 13).
President of JCI Padawan Secretariat, Douglas Bong said that the opening of the secretariat was to create impactful legacies and forge greater friendship that will elevate JCI Padawan to greater heights.
