Perkata Sarawak to hold annual Open Day Sale

KUCHING (July 18): The Sarawak Association for the Welfare of Intellectually Disabled Children (Perkata Sarawak) will hold its annual Open Day Sale 2024 on Aug 4.

The sale at Perkata Special School, Jalan Ong Tiang Swee here between 7.30am and noon seeks to raise funds for the education and training of students with special needs enrolled at the school.

“Facing many financial challenges, it is of great importance that this day is a success,” Perkata Sarawak said in a statement today.

Organisations and volunteers will set up stalls to offer a wide variety of food, drinks, grocery items, pre-loved items, and more.

“We also have interesting products from our Perkata Gallery, for instance, T-shirts, bags, cards, and souvenirs. Please bring your own carrier bags so that we can help to conserve our environment,” said Perkata Sarawak.

Those who have purchased coupons are reminded to write their name and contact number on the counterfoil for the lucky draw.

Boxes will be provided for them to drop in the counterfoil at the ‘Lucky Draw’ counter.

“We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their enthusiastic support. Your support can make a huge positive impact in the lives of children with special needs.
