KUCHING (July 5): Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg received a courtesy call from state Public Works Department (JKR) director Dr Cassidy Morris at Wisma Bapa Malaysia here today.
It was the first official visit by Cassidy since he was appointed as Sarawak JKR director in May this year, said a press release.
The purpose of the courtesy call was to discuss the direction of the department and exchange views on development projects particularly those implemented by the state JKR.
The meeting also touched on the implementation of federal government’s projects since state JKR Sarawak had been recognised as a Technical Department in accordance with the Treasury Directive 182.
The directive empowered Sarawak JKR with administering the federal government’s development projects implemented in Sarawak.
