Sarawak Scouts Council VP receives prestigious award

KUCHING (July 20): Sarawak Scouts Council vice-president Juma’at Ibrahim was honoured with the prestigious Certificate of International Friendship Award during the 12th National Jamboree Scouts of China, Taiwan recently.

The award is to recognise his outstanding contributions to fostering international camaraderie and promoting the spirit of scouting across borders, said a statement yesterday.

The event in Taiwan brought together scouts from various nations, underscoring the global reach and unity of the scouting movement.

“Juma’at’s dedication and efforts have significantly strengthened ties between scouts in different countries, enhancing mutual understanding and cooperation,” said the statement.

“This accolade highlights his exceptional leadership and commitment to the principles of scouting, inspiring future generations to uphold these values in their own endeavours,” it added.
