Unwavering support best gift to Premier on 74th birthday

KUCHING: The most valuable gift that can be offered to Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg is the commitment and loyalty of all civil servants, who continue to support his leadership and aspirations in developing Sarawak.

In stating this, State Secretary Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki stressed that this unwavering support is the best gift to realise Abang Johari’s vision of making Sarawak developed and prosperous, gaining respect worldwide.

“On behalf of all members of the Sarawak Civil Service, I pray that Allah SWT blesses him with long life, grant him health, happiness, strength, and blessings.

“His guidance and direction are invaluable to all of us, and on this special day, we wish the Premier a very happy birthday filled with joy and happiness with his beloved family.”

Mohamad Abu Bakar said this in his welcoming speech at the Sarawak Premier’s Department Hi-Tea event held at Wisma Bapa Malaysia, on Monday (Aug 5).

In the brief ceremony, a cake-cutting ceremony in celebration of Abang Johari’s 74th birthday, was followed by a thanksgiving prayer led by the Grand Imam of Sarawak Datuk Mustapha Kamal Ahmad Fauzi.

Among those present included Abang Johari’s wife Puan Sri Datuk Amar Juma’ani Tun Tuanku Bujang; Deputy Premiers Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas, Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan and Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian, Sarawak Legislative Assembly (DUN) Speaker Tan Sri Datuk Amar Mohamad Asfia Awang Nasar; Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Minister Datuk Seri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah, Utility and Telecommunication Minister Datuk Seri Julaihi Narawi, Transport Minister Datuk Seri Lee Kim Shin, and Minister in the Premier’s Department Datuk Seri John Sikie Tayai.

Joining the event were also Deputy State Secretary (Economic Planning and Development) Datuk Dr Muhammad Abdullah Zaidel, Deputy State Secretary (Operation) Datu Hii Chang Kee, Deputy State Secretary (Administration) Datuk Buckland Bangik, heads of departments, and other distinguished guests.
