KUCHING (July 27): Kuching Chinese General Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCGCCI) and Persatuan Tukang Masak How Yu Kuching are co-organising the ‘Brilliant Chef 2.0 and Culinary Demonstration’ at Hoi Tin Lau Restaurant, Aeroville Mall here.
It is informed that the event is scheduled to run from 1pm to 4pm this Sept 8.
“KCGCCI is committed to promoting vocational education, in line with the initiative of the government in enhancing the technical and vocational education and training (TVET) programmes.
“The ‘Brilliant Chef 1.0 Vocational Talk’ was successfully carried out in 2022, and for this year’s event, Kota Sentosa assemblyman Wilfred Yap will be the guest of honour,” said the chamber in a statement.
Persatuan Tukang Masak Hou Yu Kuching president Chef Goh Ah Seng, also the managing chairman and chief chef of Hoi Tin Lau Restaurant, was fully supportive of the event.
For the programme, he would be demonstrating his culinary skills on the spot and preparing some delicious dishes for the attendees.
“The event aims to increase culinary interest among students of various races and encourage them to consider the culinary industry as their future career choice,” said KCGCCI.

Tickets are priced at RM10 per person, open for purchase until Sept 2 on a first-come, first-served basis.
Every attendee is eligible to exchange only one goodies bag with one ticket.
